Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using 7obits (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. 7obits is built as a single-tenant SaaS application designed to help Indian solo freelancers manage clients, proposals, projects, time tracking, and GST-compliant invoicing.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

To use 7obits, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and account credentials.

3. Description of Service & Beta Offer

7obits provides features including CRM contacts, project management, milestone tracking, client proposals with digital signatures, time logs, and invoice generation. The Service is currently in **Public Beta** and is offered **free of charge** for now. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, or to introduce pricing tiers for new or existing features with prior notice.

4. GST & Billing Disclaimer

7obits includes tools to calculate and display Goods and Services Tax (GST) for domestic Indian invoices (defaulting to 18% or utilizing custom percentages). 7obits is an invoicing helper tool and does not constitute formal tax, legal, or accounting advice. You are solely responsible for:

• Verifying the accuracy of all tax calculations, GSTIN inputs, and invoice numbers.
• Filing tax returns (including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) with the Government of India.
• Complying with all applicable local, state, and national tax regulations.

5. Magic-Link Portals & Client Access

7obits generates secure, cryptographic links ("Magic Links") to share proposals and invoices with your clients. These portals allow your clients to review, sign, and download documents without creating an account. You are responsible for ensuring that these links are only shared with authorized parties. We employ Row-Level Security (RLS) policies at the database layer to ensure tenant isolation, but you must safeguard the links you share.

6. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to any proposals, invoices, client data, and time logs you upload or generate through the Service. By uploading content, you grant 7obits a limited license to host, store, and display your data solely to provide the Service to you and your clients.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 7obits and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, India.
